Took my new puppy to the farmer's market and pet store yesterday. We found out from the vet she is actually 8 - 10 months old. And she went to the groomer on Friday, she is a real beauty and the best dog we could have hoped for. One cat is warming up to her. It's only been a week, the other will come around, hopefully soon.

Picked up some nice looking beets, salad greens, shallots and garlic at the Farmer's Market. A rack of lamb & goat cheese from Trader Joe's. Marinated the lamb in a Copolla Pinot Noir, red wine vinegar, mint sauce, garlic & shallot for a few hours. Put the beets and a sweet potato on the egg to roast. When they were almost done, threw the lamb on at 400 and let it go for about 10 minutes a side. Came out just perfect!

Made a salad with the beets, salad greens & goat cheese, the dressing was a shallot vinegrette.
