I decided to try and do a Prime Rib last night. I used the recipe from Food Network.
Roast Prime Rib of Beef with Horseradish Crust
I must admit I was inspired by all my fellow EggHeads who posted many Prime Rib cooks over the holidays. Anyway I tried it & it was delicious.
Prepared the Roast for the Egg
Set the Egg for 350 two hours internal meat Temp. pulled at 115 degrees, and I let it rest till about 135 degrees.
Also made some Scalloped Potatoes & Asparagus
Now cutting the Prime Rib
A Plate fit for a King!!
Finished plate ready to eat. Absolutely delicious & now one of my favorite cooks!!
Maybe a new Holiday Tradition for next year!!

Meal looks great and perfect color to the meat. I haven't tried one yet but am thinking I will try my 1st without the "pressure" of a holiday meal.

Rich,
Very nice. The scalloped potatoes look amazing. I have never had much luck with them.

it's a roast. perhaps the easiest cook on the egg. seriously.
no reason to work up to it, just give it a shoted egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante -
It looks perfect! We decided to skip the traditional turkey this year, and opted instead for a whole beef tenderloin. All agreed that we will do the same next year! Great photos...
