Changing Gaskets

First time I had to replace a gasket on my Large Big Green Egg. I watched a video on You Tube, and I would recommend it.

Followed it and it really wasn't as bad as I thought. I took my time and didn't rush it.
Finished in about 2 hours. I'm sure I'll be able to do it faster next time.
Here is the finished product.

My local dealer told me to check the you-tube video.
Had soup tonight, have to wait 24 hours before I can cook on the Egg!!!

I need to do it now since I have a couple of spots that are bare. I just folded some heavy duty foil in the spots(looks ugly but works) and will do it later...maybe after the new year.

Good luck, it really wasn't that bad. If you haven't done it before, I'd suggest watching that video.

I bought a large nomex gasket from them. I first saw it on amazon, but then found out yuo get free shipping from their website. The felt was very dense and the adhesive has held hell for stout. I'll report back on the abuse I put on it.
