Looking for previous Salmon Recipe Post

A while back someone posted a salmon recipe. If I'm not mistaken, it was a combination of nature boys recipe and some other recipe. I think it had maple of some sort in it (but my brain is failing me today). What I do remember for sure was - there was a beautiful picture along with the post (even blurred borders, etc). Anyway, it looked like it came right out of a magazine - but the poster had taken the picture him/herself. [p]Any help? I've searched the archives with no luck.[p]Molly

  • Eggsellent,[p]I baste mine with a maple syrup/butter mixture like a lot of eggers do. Is that it?[p]CWM
  • Car Wash Mike,
Well, I'm not sure - but it sounds great so please share. I just know the person took a couple recipes and combined them to make one super uber salmon recipe. And of course I can't forget the picture - it was amazing.

  • Eggsellent,
go to nature boy's website "www.dizzypigbbq.com" and go to the recipes section. .i'm pretty sure its posted there. .. i remember the picture, and i think it was also taken by either nature boy or woodoggies. . .

    <p />Eggsellent,
You are referring to my "Panko Encrusted Salmon" or whatever I called it. Here's the link. In the recipe I failed to mention the maple syrup. I use maple syrup with a couple of TBSP of butter in it. I reduce it over low heat until it thickens up a bit and then pour, drizzle over the salmon. Good luck.[p]TNW

I'm hurt, sob, LOL! That was my photo, I think. The "faded edges" gave it away....

Eggsellent,[p]There've been a few good salmon recipes floating around here lately..... Nature Boy has one on the Dizzy Pig site that's just plain fantastic. The addy for that recipe is http://www.dizzypigbbq.com/recipesSalmon.html[p]And here's a link to one I posted in September.

  • I should say I pour/drizzle the syrup/butter mixture over the salmon when it is about halfway through the cook.[p]TNW

  • The Naked Whiz,
YES YES - that's it!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much. Sorry it took so long to respond - our cable modem (and cable tv) have been out most of the day (UGH)! Geez, that's like cutting off my right arm! Thanks again (and it's still a beauty of a photo).

  • The Naked Whiz,
i most profusely apologize. ..when i heard "maple" all i could think of was nature boy's. . .when i saw your picture in the subsequent post, i realized my mistake. . .my most humble apologies to the whiz. . .[p]:)
