Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Wow, that is a deal. I paid $60 each for two just a model or two above this on amazon, refurbished. I've had very good luck with mine and love it so far.

This is the 3rd or 4th good deal they sent out. I have to replace an old unit I bought of ebay 5 years ago ($20). I got the V3485 for $80 which has a few more accessories. All these deals are good. I think they want to sell as many units as possible at slightly over cost and then make their money on bags as people find out how good they freeze food. Even though I live by myself, the payback when buying meat on sale is less than a year. Without a doubt, the thing is great for boating. I throw my sealed, frozen food into the cooler and I never have to worry about the bag leaking.

Picked up a nice little foodsaver at goodwill today for $3 - works like a charm. It will find a good home!
