There's a carving contest show on the food network right now..and it's almost over...not sure if it's a repeat or not...at least in our area it's on..

    yeah, that was ray villafane that won it.

    dude is undeniably the best sculptor.

    i think the interesting thing is that each one was about the pumpkin being looked at as a carved object, like it could have been made of wood or stone. no one really capitalized on the whole 'lantern' aspect, which is what i always like to try to work with.

    i could never be in one of those contests... the pumpkin this year took 26 hours. and they had to do three :laugh:
